CHAPTER 1

4.       Why is his father sad? Why are they not a happy family? Because their mother is dead.

5.       Have they got a lot of money? No, they haven´t. They are poor.

6.       What is their house like? Old and in poor condition.

7.       Why don´t they go to school? Because they haven´t got money. Their father can´t pay for it.

8.       What is the discussion about? How to get money

9.       What does every child suggest?

Alice: work, Noel: read books to get ideas, HO: be bandits and take people´s money, Dora: get a divining rod and move it over the ground to find gold, Oswald: dig for treasure

Chapter 2

1.       What is the weather like the next day? Hot

2.       Where do they dig? In the garden

3.       Do they find the treasure? No

4.       Who helps them? Albert Wilson, their neighbor

5.       Do they like him? Not much

6.       Why do they play with him? Because he hasn´t got any brothers or sisters.

7.       What does Oswald find in the hole? A lot of worms and rocks

8.       Why doesn´t Oswald want to get into the hole? Because he is afraid of worms

9.       How does he get into the hole? They push him

10.   What happens to him? The earth falls into the hole and Albert disappears under the ground.
