SUMMER REVISION

Para repasar pueden utilizar el libro de verano que recomienda la editorial de los libros de texto que tienen los alumnos:  “Holiday English 1” by Virginia Evans and Jenny Dooley edit. Express Publishing. El material incluye el repaso de los temas vistos durante el curso y un CD de audio/DVD.

Otra posible forma de repasar es utilizando los numerosos recursos que ofrece internet y que comento a continuación. También incluyo la relación de los contenidos vistos durante el curso.   

LISTENING: Identificación de información global y específica en diversos textos  orales.

Puede practicarlo buscando actividades interactivas en internet. Para ello puede escribir en la barra de google: listening exercises, después puede entrar en los diversos enlaces y elegir las actividades más sencillas. Normalmente podrá ver la transcripción y comprobar si ha elegido la respuesta correcta. Algunas páginas que pueden encontrar son:

Unas destrezas influyen en otras, así que la lectura y el repaso de la gramática o de los textos escritos que hemos trabajado le pueden ayudar a mejorar la comprensión oral.

También le puede ayudar ver películas en inglés subtituladas en inglés.         

SPEAKING: Participación en interacción oral, siguiendo un modelo dado. Es la destreza más complicada de trabajar individualmente, de todas formas, colgaré en el blog los diálogos, para que el alumno pueda repasar las expresiones.

CONOCIMIENTOS LINGÜÍSTICOS: Uso correcto de los componentes léxicos, estructurales y funcionales básicos de la lengua. Hay muchos recursos en internet, para encontrarlos basta con poner en el buscador el punto gramatical que se quiere trabajar, por ejemplo:   comparative adjectives interactive activities. My favourite singer is Shakira. She´s Colombian and she´s got a great voice. She also writes songs. My favourite songs is `My Hips Don´t Lie.´

Shakira can speak five languages. She´s got five brothers and three sisters. She likes painting and listening to jazz music.

I´ve got a pet hamster. Its name is Lucky and he is two years old. He has got white fur, big black eyes and sharp claws. He can run very fast. He eats nuts. He is really cute and I love him a lot.

Greetings from Paris, France. We´re staying at a hotel near the city centre. We´re having a great time here. The hotel´s very nice. It´s cloudy and cold. 18^th Birthdays

In the UK, a person´s 18^th birthday is one of the most important days in their life.

They usually celebrate their birthdays at home with family and friends. They decorate the house with balloons and streamers and often have a band or a DJ to play music. There is always a birthday cake and lots of party food and drinks for everyone.

The gifts are usually something quite special, like necklace or watch. The person celebrating feels very special.

8-An email about an event you attended

Hi Bill,

I hope you´re well. Guess where I was last weekend! I was at a concert. I was with my friends Clare and Sue.

The weather was perfect and there were many people there. Everyone had a fantastic time. The music was excellent and we ate some delicious hot dogs.
